INEC to conduct continuous voters registration

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has reminded Nigerians to take advantage of the January 13-17 continuous voter registration to get themselves on the voting list.  

An INEC team led by the electoral body's head of voter education and publicity, Ndidi Okafor gave the reminder in a sensitization visit to selected worship places in Abuja on Sunday.

The registration exercise will hold between the 13th and 17th of January, while the 18th of January is set aside for claims and objection.

The continuous voter registration is for people who has just turned eighteen, persons who have not registered before and those whose attempted registration was inconclusive.

Each registration centre will have a transfer desk officer who will handle all issues of transfer and the replacement of damaged permanent voters cards.
